The 2019 Museum Ball, So80S, sponsored by RXR Realty will recreate the wild age 1980s excess where superstars from fashion, society, business and music converged and will receive tribute in the Museum's comprehensive retrospective of that era in the exhibition, That '80s Show. That exhibit will revisit the East Village scene where Keith Haring, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Julian Schnabel, Eric Fischl, Cindy Sherman, April Gornik, Kenny Scharf, Robert Mapplethrope, Andres Serrano, Robert Longo, and Andy Warhol were super art stars. The Museum will honor an outstanding philanthropist/community member, Joseph Graziose, Executive Vice President, RXR Realty.

Held at the Museum's historic Gold Coast mansion, the former Frick estate, the Museum Ball is one of the most eagerly anticipated events of the social season and is the Museum's major annual fundraiser advancing support for exhibitions, public programs, special events, family and children's programs, including Autism & the Arts and Adults with Memory Loss.
Highlights of the 2019 Museum Ball include a cocktail reception, dining and dancing, and exciting auction prizes such as artwork, jewelry, fine dining and one-of-a-kind travel and other experiences.
